What to Look For When Choosing a Spanish Tutor

What to Look For When Choosing a Spanish TutorA Spanish tutor is a person who has the knowledge and skill of Spanish. But, how can you be sure that you will get a quality tutor who will be able to teach you how to speak Spanish? As much as you might believe that the one you choose is a reputable and up to date service providers should be able to provide you with an experience for learning the language that would be fun, challenging and flexible enough to suit you personally. This is a great opportunity for you to try out the language before you decide if it's for you.How to speak Spanish is not easy, the answer is in knowing the basics and understanding what this is all about. The more you study, the easier it will become. There are several Spanish tutors available to help you learn to speak Spanish, but it is also important to be aware of the fact that different people have different skills. One of the first questions that you need to ask yourself is: Is the Spanish tutor you are goin g to choose well qualified and experienced in teaching the language? If they are not properly qualified or experienced they are likely to make things difficult for you.Another question that you need to ask yourself is: Do I want the tutor who teaches me to speak Spanish to come to my house and sit with me? It's only logical to think that the more time the tutor has with you the better they will be at teaching you. The time spent will enable them to understand you better and be able to add words that may sound funny to you. Finally, you should also think about how you want to use the tutoring services. Are you going to want to learn just from them, or do you want a partner who will be teaching you at the same time as you are learning. Even though it may take longer to learn a language, you will learn faster if you want to learn a second language. You may also want to think about how much time you can devote to learning this foreign language. If you really like the idea of learning this language then the best thing to do is to pick a language tutor who you would like to work with on a daily basis. The most important thing to remember when searching for a Spanish tutor is to choose one that you can work with. Election 101 What You Need To Know About The U.S. Presidential Race

Election 101 What You Need To Know About The U.S. Presidential Race Image via Pexels Although the chosen one won’t formally take office, or be sworn-in as they say, until January 2017, now is a good time to learn more about the political process and how it all works in choosing the free country’s leaders. Who are the candidates and what do they represent? If you take just a cursory interest in the news, you’d be prone to think the race was between two candidates only. Technically, only two have an actually realistic chance of winning. However, more participated in this presidential race before they dropped out than ever before and even at this crucial point more candidates may have a bigger say in which way the country swings. So here goes with the 2016 candidates and the parties (and ideas) they represent: Hillary Clinton represents the Democratic Party. She became the first female candidate to be nominated for president by a major political party in the U.S. Clinton has an extensive political background. She was the first lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1992. She became the first lady of the United States in 1993 and in 2001, she became the first female senator from New York. In 2009, President Barack Obama selected her to the position of Secretary of State where she stayed until 2013. She favors expanding women’s rights, protecting rights for the LGBT community, and implementing paid parental leave among other things. Donald Trump represents the Republican Party. He is better known as a very successful businessman primarily in the real estate industry, as well as an author and reality TV personality (think, “The Apprentice”). In a surprising turn of events, he touted his non-politician status all the way to being formally nominated for president at the Republican National Convention. While many of his statements on certain issues have been controversial, Trump places a strong emphasis on stronger immigration laws, veterans’ health care reform, tax cuts, and replacing the Affordable Care Act. Jill Stein represents the Green Party. She practiced internal medicine for 25 years and served as an instructor in the same field at Harvard Medical School. She advocates for a Green New Deal, channeling Franklin D. Roosevelt, and believes renewable energy jobs should be created to address issues of the environment and climate change. She favors “free higher public education,” wants to cut military spending  and replace the Affordable Care Act with a “Medicare-for-All” system of healthcare. Gary Johnson represents the Libertarian Party. He is a two-term governor of New Mexico as well as a successful businessman and author. He unsuccessfully ran for president as a Republican on a platform of libertarianism in 2012. Johnson advocates for simplifying or lowering taxes, limited government, and military non-interventionism. He is a staunch supporter of civil liberties, favors church and state separation, opposes federal and state gun control legislation, and has endorsed gay marriage as well as current federal laws related to abortion. So how does the election process work? Citizens of the United States vote for the people they want to represent them in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Most of those votes are cast on the same day as the votes cast for the 45th president of the country. The way a president is elected is slightly different than it sounds. Voters don’t directly vote for the person they want to be president. Instead, they vote for people called ‘presidential electors’ who are a part of the electoral college. In turn, the  electors vote for a new president and vice president. The larger a state’s population, the more presidential electors the state has. So for example, California has the most with 55 while Delaware and Vermont have only three. Texas has 38 while Nevada has six. The candidate who receives the most electors’ votes wins all the electoral college votes within the state. Furthermore, the first candidate to reach the coveted magic number of 270 electoral votes wins the presidency. (In the slim event that no presidential candidate receives that coveted number of 270, then the House of Representatives will select the president with each state delegation having a single vote. If no vice presidential candidate receives a majority vote, then the Senate will select the vice president with each senator having a single vote.) If you want to cast your vote, check out the cool and informative slideshow at Refinery29 (It’s way less boring than reading a litany of small text on the topic). When is all this supposed to happen? Voters will go to the polls on November 8 to elect the next president of the United States. Every major cable news channel will run the various voting events all day and into the night. They will keep track of state closing times for voting locations, vote counts by state, and as the final numbers per state roll in, the news anchors will report which candidate has won which state. So what are the odds for each candidate? Now that we’re deep into the election season, it is safe to say that there are two clear front-runners. Unless some strange turn of fate happens, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both have an equal shot, give or take a couple of percentages, at winning the presidency. The political climate is quite volatile this time around. Polls are taken frequently and the results vary on a number of issues. Sometimes, Trump beats Clinton by a few percentage points. Then there are times when Clinton beats Trump by the same. Third party candidates like Stein and Johnson have a much longer road to travel to actually win the presidency. But their campaigns have just as much validity as the front-runners do. When does this all become official? Well, after the general election on November 8, the people’s chosen one will celebrate the achievement, of course. But between November 9 and January 9, the president-elect (as he or she will be called) will assemble a cabinet and solidify policy. On January 20, the president-elect will be inaugurated and will officially become the 45th president of the United States.

The Pearson English Learning System

The Pearson English Learning SystemThe Pearson English Learning System is a popular multi-media learning program. The program has a software application that you can download onto your computer, a PDF of the curriculum for you to study at home, and a CD of the audio and video lessons. It is recommended for those who are struggling with reading, writing, and comprehension. The Pearson English Learning System uses an instructional system that is based on a learning model known as 'Sapir-Whorf' theory. The learning program, like most other English Language Learning Programs, uses Sapir-Whorf Theory. The theory states that what we see is often more true than what we think. As such, the learning system emphasizes education through creating texts and watching videos. This concept is a central concept in the curriculum for the English Learning System. Students will find that English is primarily written and then through reading and listening to the course, they will eventually learn to read a nd write as well. The text lessons are easy to understand and are usually presented in videos, making it easier for the student to learn. The audio portion of the program is another important feature. You will be able to listen to lessons as well as text lectures, taking courses from different parts of the world. This helps to expose students to different cultures and gives them a better understanding of how the language is used and spoken in other countries. The audio lessons are meant to supplement the lessons in the text curriculum. The system also teaches students how to use the English language, which is why the program is also referred to as a 'Language Learning System.' Students are taught to follow phrases and sentences when reading, but not all students are naturally able to do this.Like most language learning programs, the English Learning System teaches you how to read, write, and speak English. These skills help to increase confidence. The program provides proper instructi on on how to do these things, so you do not have to do it on your own. There are many step-by-step instructional guides to help the student learn. To learn to read and write English, the Pearson English Learning System is a very effective program. However, the program may not work well for students who have a difficult time reading and writing. The program is also expensive, with a cost of $495. If you cannot afford to buy the Pearson English Learning System, there are many other programs to choose from.

Chemistry Energy and Chemistry Are Both Important Concepts

Chemistry Energy and Chemistry Are Both Important ConceptsChemistry Energy (CHEM) and Chemistry (Chemistry) are the two terms that people use to describe the same thing. Although there is a difference between the two words, but they have the same effect on the same reactions. Many people think that a lot of the course material in the class that they are taking in college is not that real. Just imagine, if the students did not know what the meaning of chemistry and CHEM were, they would never be able to comprehend what the teachers are talking about in their classes. This is why it is important for students to know the meaning of these words. If they do not know the differences between these two words, then they will not be able to understand what is being taught in the class. Without understanding the meaning of the words, there would be no understanding of what is being taught. The explanation of these two words is for the purpose of differentiating between the two different levels of knowledge of the topic. The first level is where the student is taking the class to have a basic understanding of how the concepts are being explained. The second level is where the student has a general understanding of the concept and is able to apply it to a real world situation. Chemistry and CHEM are two very different things. For instance, if we were to compare chemistry to a chemical reaction, then a chemical reaction would be what is actually happening in the classroom while a chemistry energy would be what is going on in the student's mind. To begin with, a chemical reaction occurs when two atoms of the same element join with each other and form molecules. Chemical reactions are complicated and quite complex. These reactions take place in chemical reactions, which involve matter, energy, and matter/energy, and matter/energy which involve sub-atomic particles such as protons, neutrons, and electrons. The student's mind is able to relate to this by making a chemical energy. Th is chemical energy is the same thing that occurs when two atoms join together to form molecules. When the student first learns about these two concepts, the use of the words is very confusing for them. After they become familiar with the concepts, the student is able to think about it in terms of the compound nature of the two elements. When the student masters the concept of how chemicals work, then it is not much of a shock to them, as they are actually doing the work of a chemical reaction.A student's mind needs to have energy to perform a chemical reaction. There are several ways to achieve this through the things that they are working on. If a student can do the work in the lab environment, then there is nothing wrong with them even if they are working in an empty room. The term Chemistry Energy has some meaning.

Apply These Secret Techniques to Improve your Basic Biology

Apply These Secret Techniques to Improve your Basic Biology 0SHARESShare Biology is the study of life; and life is a complex phenomenon. As a student of this subject, there are various subtleties one needs to understand. The secret behind excelling in this subject lies in understanding  basic biology. What are the things you can do to build biology as your strength subject? Read through the following 5 tips that will help you climb up the ladder of learning biology. Any biologist or a Biology teacher will suggest you to know the biological terms in order to ace in the subject. How can you learn the terms with ease? The best way is to learn the prefixes and the suffixes that make a biological term! For example-   What does a  Haematologist  does? To answer this question, all you need to do is break apart the word.  Hemato,  which is the prefix in the term, means blood. So it can be concluded that a Haematologist studies blood. Know the equipment and experiments. Experiments are an important part of life and since biology is all about life- be it a human, a plant or an animal all that is known today is through the experiments. For these experiments, the laboratory equipment like a microscope, etc. for the backbone. To learn about bacterial processes, reading up on  bacteria reproduction  is a must. And in order to do that you need to explore the abundant material available all around you- be it by way of internet or via written physical material. Biological magnification  is that event under which the concentration of a toxic material increases in a food chain. To get your basics clear on this, you need to know what a food chain is and why it needs to follow a natural course of action from one host to another. At last, the most basic yet the obvious tip is- attend lectures! Yes, attending all lectures and hanging on to every detail the tutor speaks of is very important. [starbox id=admin]

Parts Of A Plant For Kids Online Biology Tutors Tutorpace

Parts Of A Plant For Kids Online Biology Tutors Tutorpace The plant body is differentiated into 4 parts-roots, stems, leaves and flowers. Of these roots, stem and leaves are considered as vegetative organs whereas flowers are considered as reproductive organs. The parts of the plant which occur below the surface of the soil form the root system. The roots are no green and branched. The aerial parts which occur above the surface of the soil form the shoot system. It consists of stem, leaves and flowers. The main axis of the shoot is called stem. The stem is generally branched. Stem bears a number of green, flat photosynthetic structures called the leaves. The leaves are of various shapes and sizes. The point at which a leaf originates on the stem is called the node. The part the stem between two nodes is known as internodes. From the axil of the leaves, the buds develop. Each bud has a small axis and a group of minute leaves. The bud seen at the tip of the stem is called the apical bud or terminal bud. This bud may either grow into a vegetative branch or develop into a flower. Functions of various parts: Root: It fixes the plant firmly to the soil. It absorbs water and minerals from the soil. In some cases they store food materials. Stem: Supports the branches, leaves etc., Conducts water and minerals and food to various parts of the plant body. They store food materials and in some cases carry put photosynthesis. Leaves: Prepare the food by photosynthesis Flowers: It is the sexually reproducing part. They are bright in color to attract agents for pollination

Online Rational Equation Solver Tutors

Online Rational Equation Solver Tutors Rational expression is an algebraic expression written in p(x) / q(x) form. An algebraic expression is an expression written using numbers variables and constants. The condition for the rational expression is the denominator cannot be equal to zero i.e. q(x) 0. The rational equation can be solved using different mathematical properties such as multiplicative property, associative property, additive inverse multiplicative inverse and many more. Example 1: Solve the given rational equation 2x/(x + 1) + 1 = 7/(x+1). Solution: Given is the equation 2x/(x + 1) + 1 = 1/(x+1). Here the left had side has the equation 2x/(x + 1) + 1. Take the common denominator that will be (x + 1) 2 x /(x + 1) + (x + 1) / (x + 1) = (2 x + x + 1)/(x+1) = (3 x + 1)/ (x + 1). This gives: (3 x + 1)/ (x + 1) = 7/(x+1). The denominator on both sides is (x + 1) equating the numerators. This gives: 3 x + 1 = 7. Subtract 1 on both sides. This gives 3 x = 6. Divide both sides of the equation by 3. Therefore. x = 2. Example 2: Solve the given rational equation 4x/(x + 12) = 1. Solution: Given is the equation 4x/(x + 12) = 1. Multiply both sides of the equation by x+12. This give 4x = x+ 12. Subtracting both sides of the equation by x. 3x = 12. Divide both sides of the equation by 3. Therefore. x = 4.

Pharmacists, zookeepers, microbiologists and many more professionals will have benefited from the content learned through their Biology studies.Dont forget, you don't have to pursue a career in medicine though, you might decide to become a Science Teacher or even to be a writer in the field of Biology. Furthermore, Biology can be helpful if you work in a company linked to food or drink, as you learn about food enzymes and fermentation. How Biology Shapes Your Daily LifeYou don’t need to be a Biology student or expert scientist for Biology to have a place in your life â€" science, including Biology, is all around us! While many associate the Sciences with things that happen within a hi-tech lab, the truth is that biological  processes and findings affect our day-to-day existence and, to some extent, help to keep us alive. Biology even shares links with the creative arts!If you still don’t believe it, consider how you could live without groceries, clean clothes, heating and other creature comforts? Yes, that’s right, all of these normal parts of life are influenced in some way by the innovations of Science. Let’s take a look specifically at how Biology plays its part in shaping our daily lives.Biology Is Present In Our FoodFood is a necessity of life. Not just because we enjoy consuming it, but because it is the fuel that helps to keep our bodies functioning. As you will no doubt know, there are some foods that are more beneficial than others, but even those basic items in our shopping basket wouldn’t be there for the picking if it weren’t for biological processes.Take milk and bread, for example. When you sit down to eat your breakfast before school, do you every wonder how the milk you pour onto cereal comes to become bottled milk, or how the flour ultimately produces the loaf of bread you are spreading your butter and jam on?In order to produce milk, dairy cows must feed on plants. Photo credit: StoiKNA via Visual Hunt / CC BY-NDIn order for cows to produce the milk that is so essential to our diets, they must in turn be healthy and feed on plants. For this, we have the process of  photosynthesis to thank. It also goes without saying that milk production is highly influenced Biology because, in order to produce the required amount of milk for a diary cow, the animal must birth at least one calf per year. Once a dairy cow has produced for around three years, they are then culled and their meat used for beef in our butchers and shops.Furthermore, the biological process of fermentation is what makes a wheat-flour bread dough.During bread making, bakers use yeast to produce the carbon dioxide needed for the bread to rise. Yeast is a single-celled, microscopic fungus that feeds on sugar and is essential in the process of making bread as well as brewing alcohol. As such, this biotechnology has a big impact on the way we eat and drink. Our daily chores can also benefit from the power of these microbes, for instance with manufacturers putting them in detergents to break down dirt and stains in our laundry.Imagine not having the luxury of clean clothes to wear every day. Until scientists discovered ways to produce biological detergents, many would have had to wash clothes with far less effective products and formulas, never knowing whether they had fought off all of the bacteria that had become embedded in their clothing and sheets.Laundry detergents contain enzymes adapted to living in hot environments and these enzymes break down protein, fat and starches found in stains and dirt, including food stains, sweat, mud and grass, among others.Special washing powders have also been developed to help tackle colour fading or to make whites look brighter which, although don’t have a direct impact on cleanliness, do aid in making your clothes last longer.Biology helps us keep our clothes clean and lasting longer. Now there really is no excuse not to do your share of the chores, as doing so can be like getting on with revision! So, next time you are watching television and there's a break in your favourite TV programme with adverts about Vanish and other such products, you can think of all of the scientists behind the scenes working tirelessly to find new and advanced ways to improve your clothing hygiene! How Biology Affects The Way We Look After OurselvesBiotechnology also encompasses the production of products to improve our lives by preventing illness and disease, such as vaccines, allergy shots and tests to screen blood donors for infectious age nts. Also known as Biologics, biological products are made from a range of natural, most commonly human and animal cells or microorganisms. The main advantage of these medical products are to either diagnose or prevent diseases and illness. If you are one of the many who receive a flu jab every year or if you have vaccinations coming up (like the 3-in-1 teenage booster which protects against tetanus, diphtheria and polio), then you can be thankful to the biological research that has been carried out in past decades to come up with such preventative measures in keeping your health up.Biological research has enabled the health sector to provide vaccinations against illnesses, like the common flu jab. Although the use of renewable energy is on the rise, we are still using up fossil fuels to provide us with heat, such as oil and coal. These fuels are the remnants of living organisms that graced our planets hundreds of millions of years ago, which are turned into energy sources like oil, natural gas and coal. Now that we are so much more aware of the dangers of carbon dioxide though, which is released as waste from these fossil fuels, humans are now investigating new Eco-friendly sources such as solar power with lots of homeowners opting for solar panels on their roofs.During the course of your Biology studies, biology tutors will no doubt teach you about efficiency within the home, which is becoming more and more of a focus for homeowners due to the large environmental footprint that traditional heating sources leave. Thanks to solar energy for heating, insulated walls, double or triple-glazed windows and airtight spaces for retaining this heat, many houses are now able to conserve energy instead of creating additional energy and thus cause less overall waste.Learn more about some of th e most outstanding biology discoveries.Find an a level biology tutor.

4 Ways to Find Application Essay Writing Inspiration

4 Ways to Find Application Essay Writing Inspiration The following is a guest post written by Anna Carapellotti of Admissionado, a premier college admissions consulting company focused on helping students get into their dream schools. Summer is almost over, and though you probably had good intentions, maybe youre not as far along on your college essays as you had hoped. Chances are, youre not alone. Its easy to spend days, or weeks even, staring at the blank page (i.e. computer screen). With just a few weeks of summer vacation left (for some of you, anyway!), we decided to put together a few tips to help you find application writing inspiration before the school year ramps up. Lookinside! (Yourself, that is) The most important element of a winning college application essay is that it reflects the person writing it that would be you; not your parents, or your friends, or anyone else for that matter. Your Common App essay, which is a version of the personal statement, should feature some pretty deep introspection that allows the admissions committee to get inside your head in a sense. They want to understand what you value, how you approach a problem, what makes you tick, and so on. In order to help others get to know you through a story of just 650 words, you have to think deeply about how you want to present yourself. And to get that you-ness onto the page, youre going to have to take a look inside. It may sound cheesy, but its really the only way! So forget about what other people have written, or what you think the admissions committee is looking for, and focus on presenting a truly genuine picture of you. [RELATED: 3 Steps to Edit Your Essay] Read sample essays from reliable sources Warning: proceed with caution. We are not suggesting that you plagiarize, or that you even write about what some other successful applicant wrote about. But before you sit down to write your college essays, you may find yourself wonderingwhat does a good one even look like? Considering how much weight colleges and universities place on the essays these days, it is pretty surprising that there arent classes dedicated to this at high schools across the U.S. So, in order to get a taste of what schools are looking for, buy a book or peruse the Internet and see what has worked for other students in the past. In particular, note the variety and how personal most successful essays are. You might find yourself thinking, I want to meet this person! And thats exactly what each admissions officer should think when reading your essay. The idea of this exercise is not to steal a topic or adopt the specific writing style of another. Rather, you should notice that there are no boundaries. You could seriously write about anything, as long as it helps the reader get to know you. Read past entries from your own journal, blog, or photo album So, now that weve established that you need to write about you...where do you begin? Oftentimes, student might complain, There is nothing interesting about me! But this simply isnt true! Besides, chances are you and many of your peers have had similar experiences from the shelter of high school. Thus, its not so important what you have done; its the lens through which you see things that were interested in uncovering. This is your chance to bring an interesting, cool, new perspective to the table. In order to do some brainstorming on your past ideas and experiences, take a walk down memory lane by reading through an old journal or some past blog entries. Maybe even flip (or click?) through some old photo albums. Then, make note of whatever topics or former experiences you come across that you feel excited to write about. Perhaps that summer you spent traveling, an athletic event you won, or a recent performance that was meaningful to you. Once you have a nice list of memories, narrow it down to situations where you recall experiencing some sort of personal growth that is significant to who you are today. And voila! You now have several possible essay topics. Discover what makes a good story Now that you have a compelling topic (or two) to write about, how do you begin turning that experience into compelling prose? First, youll need to learn the art of storytelling. Luckily, this is a fun art to explore. You could start by reading, and reading a lot. Novels, short stories whatever you can get your hands on. Maybe watch your favorite movies as well and consider what about them makes you love the characters so much. A good story draws the reader in and has a clear beginning, middle, and end. The main character (you, in this case) usually grows and develops throughout. Once again, its important to remember that there is no one correct answer here; theres no right way to write your story. But whatever you write, it should be coherent, personal, and insightful. After youve taken some tips from the experts, its time to sit down and hammer out a draft of your own inner heros journey. Happy writing! The views expressed in this article do not necessarily represent the views of Varsity Tutors.
